Compare the best fundraising sites of 2019

Raising money for a fundraiser can be a daunting task! You need a way to securely collect donations and show your progress to the world.

Besides asking friends and family for money, you need a way to spread the word beyond people you know to raise funds and promote your project. That’s why fundraising sites like Kickstarter and IndieGoGo have become popular. However, these crowdfunding sites have now become specialized and cater to very specific intent. Kickstarter is for creative projects, GoFundMe is for immediate personal crisis, IndieGoGo is for products. The good news is, there are other options out there to fill (or source) your needs. To help we’ve broken down the benefits and some important features for some of the more popular crowdfunding sites.

Projects for Good is the place to
make your community project a success

We wanted to form a platform people to find, start, and get support for projects that help local and global communities. Unlike Kickstarter, which supports creative projects, or GoFundMe which often focuses on personal problems, Projects for Good is a site for people who want to help the greater good. For those who need fundraising AND community support.

We have chosen to build a site that only focuses on projects that help the greater good. There are other fundraising sites out there, and they’re made for product launches, creative projects, or an immediate personal crisis. Our commitment to projects that help others ensures that we are building a community of like-minded individuals who are passionate about change in the world, not someone who is trying to build a robot that makes you coffee and smoothies. While we wholeheartedly support coffee and robots, our focus is the greater good of the community and beyond.

Projects For Good is the place to
organize cleanups and community projects

Besides offering a way for people to set up professional looking projects and raise funds, we offer community features that provide advice and moral support for the project creation process. Besides financials, projects also need support in the form of jobs or volunteers. We offer service and product-provider job listing features to help project creators find the best people to help them complete their project, thus creating jobs and putting money back into a community. Projects For Good offers an easy way to find labor, and create work opportunities for others to earn money and help improve the world. It’s a cycle of giving back that keeps everyone informed, involved, and proud to be part of something.
